Billy F. Jackson

Billy F. Jackson, 74, of Ottawa, Illinois, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Rivershores Care Center in Marseilles. Memorial Services for Billy will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Dick Ewing officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with Military Rites being accorded. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Billy was born December 16, 1938, in Risco, MO, to Floyd and Georgia (Rhodes) Jackson. He married Ingrid A. Gnifka on August 16, 1961 in Wichita Falls, TX. She died July 27, 2003. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962 as a Medical Service Specialist. He worked for GE in the maintenance department until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the American Legion Post 33. He is survived by two brothers, James (Lora) Jackson of Las Vegas and Jerry Jackson; one sister, Bonita (John) Arnott of El Cajon, CA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Pallbearer will be Chip Anderson. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post 33.
