Betty L. Reichling

Betty Reichling, 86, of Ottawa, Il passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. John Waugh officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elerding Cemetery in Sheridan, IL. Betty was born March 15, 1924 in Rural Sheridan to Dan and Leona (Roux) Bernard. She married John Reichling June 10, 1943 in Natchitoches. He died August 2, 1976. Betty worked in the business office at Sheridan Correctional Center for 18 years. She also had worked at the Ottawa Daily Times in 1977, Ottawa City Offices, and at Carol Seward Realty Co. Betty is survived by one daughter, Carol (Harry) Seward of Ottawa; one son, John (Carol) Reichling of Sheridan; four grandchildren, Harold (Theresa) Seward of Peoria, AZ, Melanie (Jim) Cullinan of Oglesby, LeAnn (Kevin) Trovero, and Nikki (Matt) Blocker, both of Leland; and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Dan Bernard. Pallbearers will be Dan Bernard Jr., Barry Bernard, Harold Seward Jr, Jim Collinan, Kevin Trovero, and Matt Blocker. Memorials may be directed to the Donor's Choice.
