Betty L. Johnson

Betty L. Johnson, 78, of Ottawa, IL, passed away, Saturday, January 15, 2011 at her Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, Wednesday, January 19, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Betty L. Johnson was born April 14, 1932, in Ottawa, IL, to Victor and Mae (Albee) Van Hoozer . She married Horace E. Johnson on June 18, 1949 at Evangelical United Methodist Church in Ottawa. He died March 30, 1999. Betty worked at the Ottawa Hospital as a Nurses Aid for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 522. . She is survived by one daughter, Julie (Jack) Noonan of Marseilles; three sons, Mark (Mary) of Salem, MO, Jeffrey (Robin) and Kevin, both of Ottawa; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Van Hoozer of Ottawa; and one brother, Donald Van Hoozer of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Robert, Jerry, and Lawrence Van Hoozer. Memorials may be directed to the family.
