Betty L. Hinkey, 83, of Ottawa passed away Saturday March 15, 2008 at Morris Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday March 19, 2008 at St. Patrick's Church with Father Ignatius Lourduraj officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday March 18, 2008 with Rosary at 4:30 P.M. with Catholic Daughters of America attending at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. She was born on December 28, 1924 to James and Altha (Locke) Reilley. They preceded her in death. She married Leo Hinkey on January 25, 1947 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. He survives. She is also survived by two sons; Bob (Mary) of Glenwood Springs Co., and Tom (Regina) of Spring Valley, one son-in-law; John Wisniewski of Ottawa, one sister; Mary Kay Coulter of Peoria, six grandchildren; Jamie (Mike) Ranallo, Julie (Dave) Roach, Trevor, Leah, Jonathan and Sarah Hinkey, three great-grandchildren; Ashley, Amanda and Tyler. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Joanne Wisniewski and one brother; Tom Reilley. She had worked for Emrick & Mason Ready-to-Wear on LaSalle St. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Catholic Daughters of America and the Ottawa Moose Lodge. She volunteered for the Red Cross, PVL gift shop and Community Hospital Pink Ladies. Pallbearers will be Ken Blum, Trevor, Jonathan and Sarah Hinkey and Tom and David Bridges. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Church or Marquette High School.
