Betty Dunn

Betty G. Dunn, 85, of Seneca passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at LaSalle County Nursing Home.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremations rites were entrusted to Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home.

Betty was born September 5, 1930 at home in Seneca, Illinois to Clarence and Anna Mae (Whitaker) Gage. After high school she attended college to be a court stenographer and then worked as the secretary to the superintendent in the Streator school district for 25 years until her retirement. In her free time Betty enjoyed reading and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Deb) Dunn of Seneca and Patti (Dan) Misener of Marseilles; seven grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth), Eric, Matt, Katy, and Kelly Dunn, Jeff and Justin Peterson; one great grandchild; and one brother, William “Bill” (Lorraine) Gage.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Anna Mae Gage; and one sister, Lois Kallsted.
