Betty Jane Doherty

Betty Jane Doherty, 85, of Ottawa passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00 - 12:00 pm, two hours prior to services, on Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried in Peru City Cemetery. Betty was born September 11, 1929 in Peru, Illinois to August and Agnes (Meglan) Gall. She married William J. Doherty February 10, 1950; he passed away November 11, 2010. She is survived by three children, Marty (Sue) Doherty, Mike (Roberta) Doherty, and Traci Doherty; three grandchildren, Liam Doherty, Anisa Doherty, and Megan (Scott) Kinsman; and two great-grandchildren, Graesin and Jameson Doherty. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; and two brothers, Harold and Gilbert Gall. Memorials may be directed to her family.
