Betty Jo Anderson

Betty Jo Anderson, 60, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Monday, April 3, at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 1:00pm Monday, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. A luncheon will follow. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory.

Betty was born February 12, 1963, in Ottawa, IL, to Arvid and Nancy (Reppine) Anderson.

Betty loved to gamble, she enjoyed going to bingo and always played scratch off lottery tickets. She was the best caretaker; she was always taking care of others. She was also the one to somehow get hurt at every family gathering, especially the 4th of July.

She is survived by her children, Tabetha (Shaun) Brown, John (Erin) Anderson, and Haley (Scott Warrner) Anderson; her grandchildren, Steven Hanrahan, Dayziah Anderson, Payton Anderson, and Kailyn, Brinley, and Rhett Warrner; and her siblings, Vicki (Gary) Morel, Tanya Johnson, Cindy (Dave Bostwick) Anderson, Ray (Christle) Anderson, and Patty Motozapo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Renee Lovell; and her sister, Christine McGrath.
