Bertha M. Beard

Bertha M. Beard, 83, of Ottawa, IL, died, Friday, September 23, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Visitation for Bertha will be Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be Monday, September 26, 2011 at Greenfield Cemetery in LaMoille. Bertha was born March 7, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Charles and Pauline (Symington) Austin. She married Robert Beard in 1950. He died April 26, 1996. She worked in Home Healthcare until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Ronald) Quiring of Ottawa and one son Robert "Mike" (Karen) Beard of Tampa Florida; four grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Amanda, and David; and one great-grandson, Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
