Bernice Elaine Pugh

SHABBONA Bernice Elaine Pugh, 89, of Shabbona, died Dec. 16 at Shabbona Healthcare Center. Memorial Mass will be at a later date at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She was born Dec.5, 1919, in Ottawa, to Henry and Darlene (Zenor) Bonges. She married John Arthur Pugh on Nov.20, 1941, at St. Patrick's Church. She was employed by Wallace Grain and Lumber Yard for 14 years. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene (Robert) Baranek of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Danny (Diane) Pugh of Mishawaka, Ind., and Jon Terry (Shirley) Pugh of Redmond, Wash.; and nine grandchildren, Brian, Brenda, Brandon, Brock, Danielle and David Pugh and Christopher, Benjamin and Laura Baranek. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 16, 2000, her parents, five sisters and one brother.
