Bernice H. Killelea, 93, of Ottawa died Friday, April 4, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Columba Church with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4 and Catholic Daughters of America in attendance. Mrs. Killelea was born Nov. 16, 1914, in Mendota, to Benjamin T. and Mary Ellen (Granfield) Hochstatter. She married James "Jake" Killelea on Oct. 27, 1937, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Peterstown. He died July 3, 1997. She was a member of St. Columba Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, and Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Sandy) and Kevin (Marsha), both of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Kathy (Joe) Cavalier, Bryan (Brenda), Steve (Laurie), Lisa, Joe, and Kevin (Ann) Killelea; 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lorraine Henkel and Celeste (James W.) Schmitt, both of Mendota, Marilynn McInerny of Oak Forest, Patricia Love of Dixon and Jeanne Hochstatter of Milwaukee Wis.; one brother, Paul (Mary Rita) of Mendota; and two foster brothers, Ronald of Hawaii and Richard Milazzo of Mendota. She was preceded in death by one son, James, in 1956; twin great-granddaughters; nine brothers, Ben Jr., Wilmer, Norbert, Greg, Raphael, Curtis, Martin, Harold and LeVern. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
