OTTAWA -- Bernard D. Mayhall, 94, of Ottawa, died Saturday, Nov. 10, at Pleasant View Luther Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Polly Klimson officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Masonic services at 12:30 p.m. Mr. Mayhall was born May 13, 1913, in Galesburg, to John and Bertha (Schultz) Mayhall. He married Esther B. Larson on Aug. 13, 1938. She died in May 1985. He was a restaurant manager. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a Lion and Mason member for more than 50 years and involved in the Elks and Ottawa Moose Lodge. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Larry) DeCoursey of Ottawa; a son, Larry (Bonnie) of Ottawa; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Mayhall; and a sister, Alice Groharing. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
