Bernadette Benedetti

Bernadette L. Benedetti, 95, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Rev. Jules Adator officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rosary at 5:00. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Ottawa. Bernadette was born December 4, 1916 in Peru, Illinois to Ira and Catherine (Bechen) Braun. She married Mario Benedetti April 21, 1941 at St. Joseph's Church in Peru. He died December 30, 1997. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Altar & Rosary Society, and Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Barbara) Benedetti of Lexington, Illinois and Phillip Benedetti of Cedar Creek, TX; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mario; one grandson, Tyler; one brother, George Braun; and her sister, Marjorie Klug. Pallbearers will be Brian Benedetti, Todd Stehl, Zac Benedetti, Ron Glover, Dave Rutgens, and Joe Rutgens. Memorials may be directed to mass cards.
