Barbara T. Stiegler

Barbara T. Stiegler was born on June 29, 1928 in Chicago, daughter of Arthur and Antoinette (Kalinowski) Rosene. She married Lawrence T. Stiegler on November 27, 1948. Barbara passed away November 21, 2016 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Barbara attended St. Edward grade school and Alvernia Catholic High School in Chicago. Soon after, she worked as a stenographer. Barbara devoted her life to taking care of her husband, her father, and her family. She was a member of St. Columba Church in Ottawa, as her catholic upbringing and her faith were most important in her life. She resided at Heritage Woods, where she enjoyed her friends, playing bingo, and wii bowling. Very sweet and kind is how she will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, and a sister Eleanor. Barbara is survived by her children, Tom (Peggy) Stiegler of Minocqua, Wi., Annette (Michael) Johnson of Grayslake, Glen Stiegler of Sheridan, Margaret (Steve) Morton of Sandwich, and Paula Lazier of Morris; two sisters-in-law, Josie Stiegler and Rose Homa; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10-12pm, Tuesday, November 29 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30pm at St. Columba Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.
