Barbara Richardson

Barbara Richardson, 78, of Ottawa, died peacefully with family at her side at OSF St. Francis, Peoria on January 13, 2014. A graveside ceremony for the family will be Friday, January 17 at 11:00 at Riverview Cemetery in Streator. Ottawa Funeral Home was entrusted with her cremation rites. Barbara was born in Streator, Illinois to Arthur and Dorothy (Nussbaum) Marcussen on May 30, 1935. Barb was retired from Bakelite Plastics. She is a member of the Marseilles Women's Bowling Hall of Fame and was an active member of the Marseilles Lioness Club. Barb is survived by her brothers, Fred (Dolly) Marcussen of California, Myron (Bobbie) Marcussen of Las Vegas; one sister, Corrine Voights of Pontiac, IL; one son, David Richardson; four daughters, Pamela (Bob) Emanuelson, Julianne (Kevin) Foster of Ottawa, Cheryl (Roger) Farley of Earlville and Laurie (Scott) McGeorge of Marseilles; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Marcussen; and grandson, Stephen Orvis. Memorials may be directed to the family.
