Barbara A Miller

Barbara A. Miller, 81, of Ottawa passed away, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Service was private. She was buried at Oakwood Memorial Park. Barbara was born June 13, 1930 in Ottawa, Illinois to William F and Elizabeth B (Henkel) Weber. She married Robert Plimmer; he passed away August 23, 1977. She then married Edward Miller June 2, 1978 in Chenoa, Illinois. She owned Plimmer's Grocery store in Ottawa with her first husband. She retired in 1988 from Kroger's. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Formerly American Legion Post 33 Auxiliary, and United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1540. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward; one daughter, Peggy (Michael) Yatchman of Aurora; two step-daughters, Nancy (Art) Laine of Dunlap, IL, and RaeAnne Allen of Ottawa; two step-sons, Dennis Miller of Marlow, OK, and Tom (Christina) Miller of Ottawa; 19 Grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Gage and Helen (Tom) Murphy; one brother, John (Shoko) Weber; one sister-in-law, Delores Weber; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Plimmer; one great-granddaughter, Marleigh Jai Thomas; two brothers; Charles and William Weber; and her brother-in-law, Robert Gage. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church, American Legion Post 33 Auxiliary, or donor's choice.
