Arnold E. Rasmussen

Arnold E. Rasmussen, 86, of Seneca, Illinois, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Rivershores Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centre. Memorial service for Arnold will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Seneca. Arnold was born September 9, 1927, in Morris, Illinois, to Edwin and Amanda (Sampson) Rasmussen. He married Grace Partridge on April 22, 1949, by the Rev. Roy Wilson. She passed away December 30, 2010. Arnold was an avid fisherman, never missing an opportunity to fish. He loved his grandchildren very much and also loved animals. He is survived by two daughters, Dar (Tim) Walker of Seneca and Norma (Rockie) Mann of Marseilles; three sons, Ed (Gayle) of Seneca, Larry (Kathy) of Florida, and Jeff (Crystal) of Marseilles; twenty five grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Price of Chicago; and one brother, Curt (Margaret) of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace; and two grandchildren, Karrie Ann Cameron and Buffie Rasmussen. Memorials may be directed to the family.
