Arlene G. Donohue

Arlene G. Donohue, 83, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am, Friday, August 16 at St. Columba Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am, prior to services, at the church. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Arlene was born February 22, 1936 in Chicago to Milton and Kathryn (Hewitt) Horn. She married Edmund J. Donohue on May 4, 1957 at St. Columba Church; he passed away November 10, 2008.

Arlene graduated from Marquette High School, class of 1954 and worked at Illinois Bell as a telephone operator for many years. She was passionate about china painting, oil painting, and she enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She was a member of St. Columba Church.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Donohue; her two daughters, Erin (David) Sloan and Kathleen (Tim) Cofoid; four grandchildren, Morgan and Brian Sloan and Zachary and Aidan Cofoid; and her sister, Sandra Ambuul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother William "Bud" Horn.
