Anna Carretto

Anna Carretto, 89, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Pleasant View. Funeral service will be at 1:30 Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 11:30 - 1:30 Saturday, two hours prior to the funeral, at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried at St. Columba Cemetery. Anna was born October 23, 1928 in Marseilles to Vincent and Mabel (Sapp) Yates. She married Peter Carretto on June 28, 1951 at St. Columba Church; he passed away March 29, 2013. She was the owner/operator of Garzanelli’s Supper Club in Oglesby, IL and a telephone operator for Illinois Bell. She was a member of St. Columba Church and past member of Deer Park Country Club. She is survived by a daughter, Pam (Mike) Mills of Ottawa; three sons, Dave and Peter (Pam) both of Ottawa, and Chuck (Nina) Carretto of Oglesby; eight grandchildren Christopher Mills, Anna (Cory) Griffin, April (Gary) Windy, Angela, Abby, Alex, Mia and Mario Carretto; and five great grandchildren, Lila and Quinn Windy and Hailey and Harper Griffin and Johnathan Kubiak. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James; a daughter, Mary Kay, in infancy; and her siblings, Lillian Vaughn and Bud Yates. Pallbearers will be Christopher Mills, Alex, Mario and Robert Carretto, Cory Griffin and Gary Windy. Memorials may be directed to St Columba Church Building Fund or donor’s choice.
