Ann "Teresa" Teresa Conness

Ann "Teresa" Conness, 88, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, April 17, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rosary at 3:45. She will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with her services. Teresa was born July 24, 1926 in Ottawa, Illinois to Lawrence and Ellen (Burke) Rose. She was a registered nurse at Ryburn King, Ottawa Community Hospital, and Ottawa General Hospital. She married James B. Conness December 1, 1951 in St. Columba Church. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Altar and Rosary Society, was active within Relay For Life though the American Cancer Society, and was a past member of St. Columba School Board. She is survived by her husband; two sons, James J. (Nancy) Conness and Steven Conness both of Ottawa; three daughters, Deborah Hinds of Rock Island, IL, Sue (David) Mogan of MN, and Diane (Mike) Stewart of VA; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Conness, Carrie Harrison, Nicholas Conness, Dara Jimenez, Ellen Meyer, Matthew, Gabrielle, and Shane Mogan, Lauren and Rachel Jablonski, Alex Conness; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Rose of Waukegan; and one sister, Mary Halm of Ottawa. She is preceded in death by her parents; son in infancy, David Conness; two brothers, John and Michael Rose; and one sister, Ellen Bernadette Rose. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to the St. Columba Building fund or Marquette Academy.
