Anna Marie Johnson, 100, of Seneca, Illinois passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Walnut Grove Nursing Home in Morris. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca, with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca, with prayers at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Seneca. Anna was born February 4, 1912 in Brookfield Township, Illinois to James and Margaret (Cordial) Carey. She married C. Donald Johnson on December 26, 1938 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca, Illinois. He died January 2, 2007. She graduated from St. Patrick's Seneca Grade School and Seneca High School. She also attended St. Francis College in Joliet. She taught several years in the Seneca area country schools. She also taught first grade at Oak Street Grade School for 30 years, before retiring in 1976. She was a life long member of St. Patrick's Church and also a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She lived her entire life in Seneca. She is survived by a son, James (Jean) Johnson of Naperville, IL; four grandchildren, David of Naperville, IL, Renee (Tony) Carrico of Hinesburg, VT, Justin Kischefsky of Annapolis, MD, and Kathleen May of Slinger, WI; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband C. Donald Johnson and daughter Marianne Kischefsky. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church or Seneca Ambulance Service.
