Amy Marie Ferguson

Amy Marie Ferguson, 45, of Marseilles, Illinois, was taken into the arms of her Savior on September 1, 2013. Funeral Service for Amy will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., prior to services, for family and close friends. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park at a later date. Amy was born April 4, 1968, in Ottawa, Illinois, to Robert and Carol (Sagi) Hylin of Ottawa. She graduated from OTHS in 1986 and later from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb with degrees in psychology and social service. She married Scott Ferguson on August 4, 1989 at First Baptist Church of Ottawa. Amy worked at Youth Service Bureau, Alternatives for the Older Adult, and Parker Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband, Scott; sons, Joshua and Timothy; parents, Bob and Carol Hylin; brothers, Kevin (Kathy) Hylin of Peyton, CO and Eric (Tammy) Hylin of Ottawa; nephew, Michael (Stephanie) Hylin of Houston, TX; nieces, Amber (Matt) Underwood and Sarah Gordon both of Ottawa, Emma, Claire, and Katie Hylin of Springfield, IL; great nieces, Aereth Underwood, Allie and Mattie Hylin; great nephews, Caleb Hylin, Aiden Gordon; and some step nieces and nephews. She loved her family, music, gardening, coffee, and birds. Memorials may be made to Illinois Valley PADS Shelter or Ottawa Beautification Program.
