Alvin "Bud" Johnson, 96, of Seneca, IL, died, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Rivershores Care Center. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Seneca, with the Rev. Carolyn Lukasick officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 am Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Seneca arrangements entrusted to the Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Alvin "Bud" was born June 6, 1916, in Morris IL., to Louis and Anna (Enger) Johnson. He married the love of is life Elizabeth "Claire" Irwin on June 17, 1939 in her parent's home in Seneca. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2011 after 72 years together. He Farmed in LaSalle and Grundy County retiring in 1976 they moved to Seneca and built their dream home. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Seneca since 1939 where he enjoyed many church family friends. He is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and five brothers. Pallbearers will be Bill, Mike, Kett, Steve, Robert Johnson, Ron Flynn, David Blome and Jon Anderson. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
