Alonzo Mccoy

Alonzo "Phil" McCoy, 69, of Ottawa passed away Friday, September 5, 2008 at Ottawa Pavilion. Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the funeral home. He was born on November 22, 1938 in Streator, Illinois to Alonzo and Mabel (Schoenberger) McCoy. He married Beverly Lehman on February 24, 1967 in Streator. He was a route salesman for Sunbeam. He was a member of Teamsters Local #722. Alonzo is survived by his wife, Beverly; two sons, David and Todd McCoy both of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Rita Ann McCoy and Caleb McCoy-Christianson; one great-grandchild, Trinity Marie Kines; two brothers, Richard (Ruth) McCoy of Streator and Burt (Necia) McCoy of Ancona. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, 3 brothers and step-mother, Merle McCoy.
