Alice Western, 95, of Springfield, Il., died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village, Springfield, IL. Funeral Services 11:00 AM Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donna Trinko Evangelical United Methodist Church Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15th, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Alice was born, June 15, 1915, in Spring Valley, IL, to John and Mary (McClellan) Brett. She married Stanley Western on February 20, 1936 in Joliet, IL. He died September 19, 1979. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Mary Jean Western, three grandchildren, Randy (Jennifer) Western, Melinda (Mark) Vance and Brett (Sarah) Western. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, Paul, David, Megan, Adam, Jacob and John Western; Garett, Analysse and Elle Vance and Lucas and Jack Western. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Gary, her grandson Daniel, two brothers Jack Nosalik and Martin Brett and two sisters Marion Nosalik and Rachel Pomatto..
