Alice Phillips-Lumpkins

Alice R. (McKinnie) Phillips-Lumpkins, 53 of Chicago, formerly of Ottawa, died November 12, 2011 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. Funeral Service for Alice will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church. Alice was born February 19, 1958 in Bolivar, Tennessee to Arthur and Amy (Savage) McKinnie. She married Odessa Phillips on April 3, 1976, in Chicago. He died June 4, 1995. She was educated in the Bolivar County School System and later continued her education in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by four daughters, Alterida, Ammie, and Chantal Phillips, and Aretha (Keith) Merritte; one son, Terrance McKinnie; seven sisters, Marth Ball, Chrystal, Andrea, Phyllis, and Kimberly McKinnie, Lillie McKinnie, and Sandra McKinnie; four brothers, Johnnie (Tina), David (Katie), Phillip (Tanya), and Lorenzo; eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, aunts, and uncles. She is preceded in death by her mother; and one brother, Timothy. Memorials may be directed to the family.
