Alfred Smith

Alfred Truman Smith, 84, of Ottawa, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Pleasant View in Ottawa. Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Monday, June 30, 2008 at Pleasant View with Rev. Lisa Hadler officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded. He was born March 27, 1924 to Rufus and Catherine (Snyder) Smith. He married Betty Jo Smith in California. She died May 9, 2003. He loved woodworking, music and his animals. Mr. Smith is survived by one brother, Doyle (Mary) Smith of Ottawa; 3 nieces, Bonnie (David) Hayes and Dr. Jeanne (Andrew) Decker both of Ottawa and Jody Fellows of Decatur and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 sisters, Darlis and Mildred and one nephew Doyle Smith Jr.
