Agnes Mason

Agnes Mason, 89, of Ottawa, formerly of Norway, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Ottawa Pavilion surrounded by her family. Funeral Services 4:00 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00 pm prior to services Monday with Rev. Michael Driscoll, Chaplin at OSF. St. Elizabeth Medical Center, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. She will be buried at Brumbach Cemetery at a later date. Agnes was born January 6, 1926 in Ottawa, Illinois to Anton and Mary (Lavoi) Frig She was a member of the Ottawa Moose Lodge #960 and the LaSalle County Farm Bureau. She married Harry Mason April 1, 1977 in Brighton, Colorado; he passed away January 1, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother; and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, Luanne (Jimmy) Nosko of Branson, MO., Jack (Sharon) Gaudi of Franklin Park, Linda Baity of Mokena, and Francis (Carolyn) Gaudi of Lockport; four-step children, Jane Marie (Ray) Walter of Darlington, WI., Dan (Jayne) Mason of Norway, Vicky (Michael) Schmidt of Ottawa, and Judy Mason (Steve Mellendorf) of Marseilles; twenty-one grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Joseph Gaudi, James Gaudi; a granddaughter, Jillian Baity; four brothers, Mike, Andrew, Tony and Joe; and two sisters Mae and Margaret. Memorials may be directed to family or American Diabetes Foundation.
