Adam C. Salazar

Adam Christopher Salazar, 37, of Ottawa, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the service.

Adam was born March 12, 1988 in Joliet, IL the son of Joann (Newman) Stone. Adam married the love of his life, Ashley Salazar, on December 9, 2022 on a mountain top in Albuqurque, NM. Adam loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, rock climbing, and canoeing were some of his favorite past times. He also enjoyed primitive camping and being one with nature. He worked several jobs but was incredibly proud of his union position. In his free time, he enjoyed playing video games, spending time with his beloved family, and being with his 2 dogs, Chica and Ichigo, who he adored.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Salazar; his mom and dad, Joann and Aric Stone; his siblings, Kyle Pohle and Devyn Stone; his grandparents, Wes and Sandy Stone, Carol Israelson, and Toni (John) Salazar; his aunt, Bernadette; uncles, Christopher and Tiger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his children, Paisley and Angel Salazar; his uncle, Michael; his grandpa, Ray Israelson; and grandmas, Judy Newman and Nancy Newman.
