Nancy Ogle

Nancy Lynn (Schomas) Ogle, 83, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Ottawa Pavilion. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 5, at St. Francis Church with Rev. Jeff Windy officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 5, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Nancy was born April 15, 1934, in Nokomis, Illinois to Frank and Gladys (Carroll) Donaldson. She was adopted in 1941 by William Joseph and Mary Ellen (Butler) Schomas. She married Robert Maurice Ogle on September 5, 1970, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa, Illinois. She was a member of St. Francis Parish and Altar and Rosary Society. She retired from Met Life Insurance Company. Nancy liked to spend her time traveling with her husband to visit family.

She is survived by two daughters, Teresa (David) Taylor of Ottawa, grandchildren, Nathan, Noah, and Nicolas, and Mary Ruth (Chad) Ellington of Kent, Washington, grandchildren Meson and Colin; one son, Robert William (Jody) Ogle of Kangley, Illinois, grandchildren Helena, Alea, and Johanna; two brothers, William Branson in Peoria, Larry Walters of Chicago; one sister, Donna Wolcott in Arizona. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Bill and Mary Schomas, and her brother, Robert Walters.

Pallbearers will be Robert Ogle, Helena Ogle, Alea Ogle, David Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Noah Taylor, and Nicolas Taylor.
