Kenneth "Knute" Milus

Kenneth "Knute" Milus, 88, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, October 26, 2018, at St. Columba Church, with Rev. Corey Krengiel officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Kenneth was born February 9, 1930, in Seneca, IL, to Sam Milus and Anna Foley. He married Kay Kelly on February 3, 1951, at St. Columba Church and to that union were born four daughters. He was a great, loving father who always fixed things right away. He enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs and watching sports. He retired as a Master Bricklayer from Joliet Local Bricklayers Union #21. He was a member of St. Columba Church and previously a member of St. Joseph's Church in Marseilles. He was also a member of the Knights Of Columbus. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay; two children, Kayla Alderman and Kelly McDermott; four grandchildren, Lee (Jennifer) Sharp, Kelly Jean Bault, Daniel Bault, and Brett Bault; four great-grandchildren, Brett Sharp, Dylan Goble, Dakota Goble, and Brian Sharp; and one sister, Lorraine Miskell. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Krista Sharp, and Kara Bault; three grandchildren, Charlie "Baby Charlie" Alderman, Stephen Kelly McDermott and Mary McDermott Goble and his son-in-law, Stephen McDermott.
