Frank N. DeFrank, 86, of Ottawa, IL, died, Monday, February 14, 2011 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi, with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba, with Military Service. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, Friday, February 18 at Ottawa Funeral Home, prayers at 4:00 PM with Knights of Columbus. Frank DeFrank was born, December 25, 1924, in Chicago, IL, to Michael and Gemma (Manicini) DeFrank. He married Florence Srsnick on July 23, 1949 at St. Mary's Church in Naplate; she died February 16, 2010. He graduated from the University of Illinois, School of Pharmacy, and owned and operated Duncan's Drug store in Ottawa from 1950 to 1974. He then owned and operated Schott's Pharmacy in Ottawa and Marseilles, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a life member of Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), American Legion Post 33 and a former member of the Illinois Pharmaceutical Assoc. . He is survived by a son Michael (Kristine) DeFrank of Indian Creek IL. A daughter Carolyn DeFrank of Ottawa, two grandchildren Nicholas and Lauren DeFrank of Chicago, a sister Laura (Russell) Costello of Rockford, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence. Pallbearers will be Rudy D'Souza, Russell M. Costello Jr. Da Niguyen, Kevin Brown, Kiet and Kieu Dinh. Memorials may be directed to the family.
