Douglas Ward

Douglas P. Ward, 57, of Seneca, formerly of Joliet, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013, at home quietly in the arms of his loving wife surrounded by his family and friends. He was the beloved husband to Sharon; loving father to Brandon and Melissa; devoted son to John; and brother to Michael; he is the loving stepfather to Michael, Matthew, Marty Sheldon; and Papa Doug to Maverick, Stella, and Molly Sheldon. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Margaret. A celebration of Doug's life will be held on September 22, 2013 in Joliet. Additional information will be posted at a later date. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. Doug was born July 21, 1956, in Kankakee, Illinois, to John and Margaret (Stewart) Ward.
