Mark J. Bassing, 36, of Ottawa, IL passed away, Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 22, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-7, Wednesday, July 21, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Troy Grove Cemetery.
Mark was born May 21, 1974, in LaSalle, IL to Charles and Mary Faith (Campbell) Bassing. He was an alumnus of Ottawa High School Class of 1993, a member of First Baptist Church and also coached little league. He was a salesman at Fox River Marketing
Mark is survived by his parents, Charles and Mary Faith Bassing of Ottawa, IL; one sister, Rebecca (Chad) Kovash of Marseilles, Il; and two nieces, Elly and Libby Kovash.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Minnie Bassing and his maternal grandparents, Arden and Faith Campbell.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Spenader, Jake and Micah Schmitt, Bryon Bess, Phil Cook, and Jimmy Warren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or to the Donor’s choice.
