Edwin Dale Wold

Edwin Dale Wold of Streator passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at his home following a short battle with cancer. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and services will be private.

Ed was born September 29, in Ottawa to Elwood and Betty (Henry) Wold. He graduated from Tempe High School in Tempe, AZ and attended Arizona State University. He was employed by Wedron Silica and Clover Technologies. 

He was formerly married to Alice (Varland) Wold and together they had two daughters; Lauren (Corey) Flashing and Kathleen Wold both of Ottawa. Additionally, he is survived by one brother, Scott (Marianne) Wold of Ottawa; one sister, Judy (Richard) Frye of Marseilles; one granddaughter, Michaela Flashing of Ottawa; three nephews, Andrew (Kayla) Wold of Washington, IL, Joseph Frye of Ottawa and Nicholas Frye of Ames, IA; one niece and goddaughter, Jessica (Sam) Russell of Milwaukee, WI; his girlfriend of sixteen years, Christa Easi of Streator, and his beloved cat, Ralph.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Interment will be at Oakwood Memorial Park ~ after the line of private services.
