Christina M. Swanson

Christina Swanson, 58, of Ottawa, IL, passed away with her family by her side at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center on April 16th, 2024.

Tina was born September 22, 1965 in Rockford Illinois. She married Gary Swanson on May 20th, 2000 in Ottawa, Illinois. 

She worked numerous jobs but took the most pride in raising her children. Tina's passion was crocheting and crafting. She was also a leader of Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and a 4-H Club. Tina was the type of person who lit up a room when she entered. Her true colors were beautiful like a rainbow.  

She is survived by her husband, Gary Swanson; children; Alyssa Klotz, Acacia Angelico, Kelsey Swanson, and Shaylee Swanson; grandchildren; Zoey Angelico, Leah, Olivia, and Liam Downey; dog Oliver; cats Lincoln, Lucky, & Lillie.                                         

Christina was preceded in death by her mother Rosalie and her beloved animals, including Sabrina & Pippen.        

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
